Here's how to find us . . . The Kennebec Historical Society is at 107 Winthrop Street in Augusta, Maine. When entering Augusta off I-95 (from both north and south) use exit 30 (State House/State Agencies). Drive east on Western Avenue until the fourth light. Burger King should be on the right. Turn left onto Airport Road. That road bends at the top of the hill and turns into Winthrop Street. Continue down Winthrop Street for about 6 blocks. KHS is on the near left corner of North Chestnut and Winthrop streets, across Chestnut Street from Women Unlimited. The building is a large, yellow-white brick Greek Revival house. Please use the front door. The driveway and side door are reserved for visitors with handicaps. Please call (207) 622-7718 for further directions if necessary. |
